Welcome to Berkley Custom Design. My boxes are proudly handcrafted out of fine exotic wood and highly figured domestic woods. Some examples of my more popular woods used are Zebra Wood, Lace Wood and Tiger Maple. Each of my solid wood pieces is constructed with removable lids with a handcrafted, easy to grip handle.

My boxes stand out from the rest for a number of reasons. I have a process of matching wood grains within the box and the wood top creating a beautifully matched piece. Inlayed on the outer corners of each box you'll find large, exotic wood accent keys. Inside some of the boxes are the space-creating, Tiger Maple divider inserts for all your sorting needs.

To bring out the natural beauty of the wood I use a secret mix of a natural hand rubbed shellac and oil sealer (no stains or dyes). Then, for those who do not want to be left constantly having to rewax or oil a box to preserve the wood, each of my pieces is finished with a fine catalyzed lacquer, for easy maintenance.

With all these elements combined, you have an heirloom quality, exceptionally designed exotic wood box that is something special to be enjoyed and valued for generations to come. I take pride in each wood box I make.
